BASALTON
Basalton is made of concrete columns that provide stability and increase the integrity of foundations and is one of the world’s best-selling revetment stones. The Basalton concrete columns are a high-quality replacement for the traditional basalt columns. They protect dikes and coastlines against erosion from strong currents and wave activity. Basalton is used in road construction as well and can be applied vertically for decorative purposes.

BETOMAT
Betomat is a flexible concrete block mattress. In general, the concrete block mats are used to protect banks and embankments against erosion from currents and / or waves. The mats can be installed both above and below water and give the construction stability. They can also be used offshore to protect pipes and cables lying on the seabed.

BETOWALL
Our products can also be used for aesthetic purposes by creating decorative vandal-proof wall
elements. Individual Basalton columns can be used for a solid decorative finish in gardens and around
buildings. In addition, the prefab Basalton wall gives a nice finish along quays and can refresh any canal, marina or river wall. With our new Betowall product range, we can offer standard concrete wall elements with prints, bricks, eco layering and even lighting. -
ARMOUR STONE
Armour stone is natural quarry stone, chosen for its durability and resistance to wear and erosion. Our armour stone is quarried by drilling and blasting in our quarries all over the world. We are able to provide different materials and sizes as riprap for shore protection and breakwaters. And we provide the aggregates and sand as raw materials for concrete. We also specialise in recycling construction and demolition waste to make high-quality aggregates, reducing the need for quarrying.

From Tuesday, January 17th to Friday, January 20th, InfraTech will take place at Ahoy Rotterdam. Holcim will also have a booth in Hall 1.
After a four-year adventure of development, Holcim Coastal has accomplished it: its Basalton Quattroblock is the most stable stone revetment of the moment.
The “new” factory in Alphen has been in operation for years now, serving as part of the largest hydraulic engineering project in the Netherlands, the renovation of the Afsluitdijk.
The stability of Holcim’s Basalton Quattroblocks proved to be so high during the tests conducted in Delft in 2017 that they could not be loaded to their maximum capacity. In January 2022, new tests were conducted to determine the maximum stability of the Basalton Quattroblock, a slope protection element.
